Due to the disruption caused by the pandemic the government has cancelled the statutory collection of KS1 and KS2 teacher assessments and the phonics screening check. We are still awaiting the status of the FSP collection.
Schools will continue to use assessment to inform teaching, to enable them to give information to parents on their child’s attainment in their statutory annual report and to support transition of KS2 pupils to secondary school. The government encourages schools to use past test papers in their assessment of pupils.
The Performance Team will provide a voluntary collection of assessments in summer 2021 to support schools with their annual reports, self evaluation and the transfer of KS2 assessments to secondary school. Further details will be made available nearer the time of the collection.
